Vermont identified as the Green Mountain State is known for its beauty, lakes, tourist attractions and activities including skiing, snowmobiling, hiking, horse-back riding, kayaking, golf, ski resorts, to name but a few. From farms to covered bridges, galleries and museums to historic sites, lakes to major ski resorts, shopping to exploring back country roads, the four season State of Vermont provides something special to everyone, making this the perfect place to have a second home

Located in New England, Vermont is easily accessible by car, rail and plane. One can fly into Burlington International Airport, and from Logan International Airport (Boston MA) there are daily direct flights to the Southern Vermont Regional Airport (Rutland) which is located less than 30 miles from Killington and Okemo Ski Resorts. Amtrak (train) and the National Park Service Trails and Rails also provide transportation from Washington D.C. to different areas of the State. From the UK, the ski resorts of Vermont are incredibly easy to get to and provide the closest US ski areas, with direct flights to Boston and Bradley (Hartford Conneticut) then a 3 - 4 hour drive to the different ski resorts the state has to offer. On the way back owners can stop in Boston and do a spot of shopping before flying home

Vermont continues to be a ‘move-to state’, with particular interest for a second/vacation home; homes on or near the mountains, lakes or in a village, there are numerous types of properties to consider. They range from condominiums to renovated farmhouses w/acreage to log homes and country homes in rural areas. As well, there are opportunities with land parcels if the dream has been to build that very special place. While the Vermont ski monuntains are low in alttude the unique climate provides regular snowfall combined with massive investment in state-of-the-art large snow making facilities ensure the resorts have long open seasons. The peaks of Vermont are also lower than those of California and Colorado but several resorts offer vertical falls over 800m on a par with Colorado resorts such as Keystone and most have more than 600m exceeding that of Brekenridge. The Killington ski domain just a little North of Okemo ranges in altitude from 323 - 1293m and provides the East Coasts greatest natural snowfall and the largest ski area(152km). With beautiful countryside and panoramic views, the six interlinked mountains with their state of the art ski lifts, grooming and snow production provide skiing for all levels as well as the hottest New England nightlife with plenty of restaurants and Apres ski scene.

Stowe the classic, charming and chocolate box, picturesque Vermont town at an altitude of 475m with a 200 year history, offers a winter wonderland for skiers and non skiers alike. With a plethora of winter experiences, no other ski resort captures the spirit of a classic New England Winter. Combining an atmosphere that brings second owners back year after year to ski and board on Vermonts highest peak Mount Mansfield, Stowe offers two base areas accessed by a short ride on the free "town trolley". With Spruce Creek and Mount Mansfield now connected by the highly efficient transfer gondola, it is easy to get between both bases. The 63km of piste (485 acres) ranging fro 390 - 1135m are efficiently supplied by snow cannons that cover 90% of the mountain. With three terrain parks and a super pipe, a staggering 150km of groomed cross country trails and 100km of back country trails through the stunning scenry form the largest network in the Eastern USA. Quaint buildings, boutique shops and more top class restaurants anywhere in New England other than Boston ensure this is a popular destination for tourists year round. With Burlington not far, this makes a superb place for your second home

The world famous pretty town of Grafton, the 6th most desirable place to live in the USA is perfectly nestled in the Southern mountains of Vermont where you can hike, bike or simply relax. While not directly linked to a ski domain, this charming, picturesque four season town cant be beaten as a place to own a second home with easy access to Magic Mountain Ski Resort inside 20 minutes, 30 minutes to Bromley Ski Resort, 20 minutes to Ludlow (Okemo Mountain Resort) and Stratton Mountain resort is just a little further.
