Park City - Mountain Resort
Get to know the resort
At an altitude of 2,104m, the colourful and vibrant old mining town of Park City with its historic and lively Main Street is like no other resort town in North America. An incredible place to go on holiday, exciting place to play and excellent place to invest in real estate, the resort town is like no other. Home to the Sundance Film Festival and host to many of the 2002 Winter Olympic events, the town which is well organised for families, offers three world class ski & mountain resorts, right on the doorstep and just minutes away. Linked by the very efficient free bus shuttles, (for those that don’t want to drive), Deer Valley Resort®, Park City Mountain Resort and The Canyons Resort, offer a staggering total of 9000 acres of piste between them and all operate on the same lift pass, allowing skiers to enjoy the greatest snow on earth in the winter.
Park City Mountain Resort, with its 3300 acres of piste and staggering 350 inches of snowfall each year, is bigger than Deer Valley and smaller than The Canyons. Serviced by 16 lifts, including the Main Street chairlift, the circuit has skiing to an altitude of 3050m and has a great mix of terrain for all skill levels, including a lot of advanced and expert skiing at the top of the mountain. Four terrain parks are also available with something for everyone, providing a vast choice of kickers, rails, and pipes. Maintained daily, these rank among the best in the world.
For those not wanting to ski, there is a wide selection of non-skiing activities on hand. In addition to the usual town facilities including bowling allies, cinemas and leisure centres, there is a wide choice on offer. Backcountry snowmobiling, sleigh rides, hot air ballooning, indoor tennis, cross country and snowshoe tours, ice skating, fly fishing, shops and galleries, factory outlet mall, superb apres ski and a choice of over 100 restaurants to choose from are all available. Further afield, Salt Lake City is very easy to get to and a trip to one of the Nevada casinos is also possible.
In the summer simply explore the seemingly endless hiking and biking trails that wind throughout the resorts, parks and public land during the warmer months. For those seeking an adrenaline rush there’s one of the longest Alpine Slides in the world, with over 3,000 feet of gliding and sliding down a luge-like track. With four tracks to choose from, you can experience a different ride each time. Alternatively, simply soar above the tree tops as the ZipRider™ propels riders 110 feet above the resort's ski runs at speeds up to 45 miles per hour. Or take Utah’s only Alpine Coaster. The elevated track winds you through more than a mile of loops, curves and hair-pin curves at speeds up to 30 mph. For more sedate past times, Park City is quickly becoming a top mountain golf destination offering a variety of private & public courses with unmatched views.
For the investor or prospective second home owner, the Park City real estate market offers more diversity than you will find at any other North American ski town. It is separated into an array of areas and neighbourhoods, each providing something unique. From historic Old Town homes, on-mountain ski condos to golf properties, Park City real estate has properties to fit every desire. Pricing in the area varies widely from $100,000 to nearly $29 Million. With abundant year round recreational activities, a charming town and convenient access, all make Park City so unique and a great place to buy.
Park City is conveniently located just 30 miles from Salt Lake City International Airport. Its location, arguably the most accessible ski resort in the Rockies, allows for a quick drive from the airport so that you can be skiing the day you arrive.
