Reasons to visit

Set in the heart of the Massif des Aravis ski domain with a total of 211km of skiing, the traditional mountain village of Le Grand Bornand at an altitude of 1000m with 400 authentic chalets can be traced back to the 17th centuary and is known as the "Pearl of the Aravis Mountains". Nestled between Lake Annecy and mont Blanc, the resort provides an authentic natural beauty along with a modern and well equipped family friendly ski resort.  the ski area runs from 1000 - 2100m via 86km of piste and 24 lifts to ferry passengers around.

Part of the select Club TOTFA (Top of the French Alps), a label which groups 15 of the most prestigious winter sports destinations in France, the Snowpark frequently referred to as the most spectacular in the French Alps and a regular host to the Tour de France in the summer make this a highly desired resort by those looking for great skiing and all things outdoors.

With a 43km Nordic ski area, the rest of the Massif des Aravis ski area is connected via a very efficient shuttle between St Jean de Sixt and La Clusaz.

Le Grand Bornand Chinaillon situated at an altitude of 1300m is the main ski station of the resort sitting at the foot of the slopes and lift departure. Two gondolas ferry passengers to and from the village to the Chinaillon area while there is also a free shuttle connecting the two parts of this wonderful resort.
