With an altitude of 1755m, a summit of 2391m and a longer than average Canadian ski season ranging from mid November to mid April, Big White has become an increasingly popular destination in Canada to purchase property as well as drawing skiers and families to holiday at the resort. The addition of 6 new runs in 2006 at Big White put a further 200 acres of ski terrain into the resort and this is just the first part of expanding the mountain to meet demand and improve the experience. The mountain is a natural paradise for snowboarders with wide variety of runs including glades, gullies, treelines, and bowls. Telus Park Terrain Park, with its own lift has Olympic size super pipe, snow cross course and Rail Park. Boarders of all abilities can find terrain to suit their tastes and needs.
The village provides great daytime and evening family entertainment, with family friendly activities and events only steps away from your second home. There is an extensive selection of activities for all ages including movie nights, bonfires with hot chocolate and toasted marshmallows, fireworks, carnival nights, skating and the largest night skiing opportunities in Canada. There’s also a great choice of restaurants ranging from cafes to International fine dining serving award winning local wines. The resort also boasts a lively après ski scene in the bars and pubs including live bands.

Big White is very easy to get to. The resort is only 35 miles (56km) south east of Kelowna’s International Airport, the largest City in the Okanagan Valley with frequent daily shuttles to and from the resort taking between 45—60 minutes. Kelowna International Airport is serviced by many of the top Canadian Airlines including Air Canada, with simple daily interconnecting flights direct from airports such as Vancouver and Toronto. Air Canada’s introduction of its daily jet service last season from Vancouver and Calgary has cut flight times to just 40 minutes ensuring you are on the snow in an hour and 45 mins from landing at Vancouver. The new runway expansion plans once complete will allow non-stop flights from Europe and Australia.
