Charming Crest Voland

If charm is high on your list when it comes to Alpine resorts then Crest Voland is sure to tick plenty of boxes. Around 15 miles from the better known resort of Megeve, Crest Voland is quaint, small and perfectly formed, the ideal destination for someone who enjoys a cozy and characterful holiday.

In the winter months you’ll find that Crest Voland boasts access to the 192km of the Espace Diamant ski area, which links the resort to Cohennoz, Flumet, Notre-Dame de Bellecombe, Praz-sur-Arly and Les Saisies/Hauteluce. This ski area has hundreds of slopes for skiers of all abilities, along with five snow parks, making it a great destination for a group holiday.

The character of the resort is distinctly Alpine, with developments over three stories prohibited and the traditional aesthetic retained; all property is clad in wood or stone to ensure the quaint look and feel of the resort isn’t lost to development.

And the resort’s traditional feel is equally beautiful under the blue Alpine sky of the summer months as it is under a blanket of snow. The resort is surrounded by forested areas and Alpine meadows and boasts spectacular views of Mont Blanc.

During the summer months one of Crest Voland’s biggest attractions is the 90km of marked hiking trails that it boasts, accessed directly from the resort or by ski-lift. These include several short family-friendly and even pushchair-friendly routes for families, as well as more arduous options for keen outdoor enthusiasts.

Alongside these walking routes is also a new mountain biking area between the summit of Bisanne and Crest Voland. Here you’ll find routes between 3km and 8.5km for beginners and more seasoned mountain bikers alike. The Topo Guide for pedestrians and the Topo Guide MTB for mountain bikers can both be purchased from the Tourist Information office for more details on these routes.

So if it’s charm you’re after, Crest Voland delivers. If you’re looking to invest in property in the Alps, this quaint resort offers character by the bucketload all year round - get in touch with our team at Alpine Property Investments to learn more about how we can help.
