Nax

With a North facing position, excellently prepared slopes and good snow quality, the ski slopes of Télé Mont-Noble are a haven for the Swiss wanting to avoid the bustle of the larger ski resorts. Offering winter sport fans, from beginners to the most experienced, 4km of cross country tracks, the 34 kilometres of ski runs (11 in total) provide piste above 2500m and skiing assured throughout the season. The 6 ski lifts equipped to uplift 6300 skiers/boarders per hour to an altitude of 2600m, ensure breathtaking views over the Rhone and Hérens valleys and the opportunity to experience uncrowded slopes and nature, unspoilt and untouched.
The Ski and Snowboard School located in the village offers lessons for all levels and ages, either in private or groups. With very attractive property prices, a true Swiss village and the slopes / snow the way you like it, Nax is also a perfect second home location for those that also want access to other ski domains. The world famous 410km, 4 Valleys ski domain with skiing to Verbier can be entered at Les Collons with its large car park just 30 minutes away. Alternatively the ski resorts of the Val d’Anniviers providing 220km of skiing on one pass has the villages of St Luc, Vercorin, Grimentz, Zinal and Chandolin a short drive from as little as 10 minutes away.
With all the usual amenities you’d expect including Bank, shops, restaurants, café’s, and bars, in the summer, the local dense network of well signposted footpath’s and mountain bike trails, provide activities for all levels. Across the Val D’ Anniviers itself, the extensive 1295 km of marked out footpaths cover everything from vineyards to everlasting snow and from the nature reserve to wild fauna at the top of the tree line. Here you’ll be enchanted in autumn by the infinite seasonal pallet of colours from the tints of red to the turquoise blue of the Moiry lake.
The outdoor swimming pool adapted for children has lawns for sunbathing and relaxing, or why not take them on an excursion on a Parapente horse. There are two open air clay tennis courts with refreshment bar, a football ground, marvellous Swin 9 hole golf course and archery course with 3D, animal life size targets throughout a forest setting. The underground lake of Saint Leonard If you fancy an adrenaline rush there’s paragliding and rock climbing to also keep you amused.
Getting to Nax couldn’t be easier with three airports within a two hour drive ensuring those with a second home in this wonderfully traditional village can take advantage of easy ski / summer breaks. With Sion airport just 30 minutes away and taking direct flights from the UK during the winter Nax is the perfect resort for that ideal getaway.
