Cortina d'Ampezzo Italy's most fashionable resort and famous for its scenes in the Pink Panther and James Bonds For Your Eyes Only, is an attractive town that sits across a wide scenic bowl at an altitude of 1224m. Known as the 'Queen of the Dolomites' it is perfectly located in an exceptional setting with its magnificent Dolomite scenery with surrounding granite peaks of over 3000m (Tofàna 3243m, Cristallo 3218m, Sorapìs 3205m).

Found In the province of Belluno with 7000 inhabitants it forms part of the huge Dolomiti Superski pass network of 1220km of skiing. Long been at the forefront of a host of great sporting events such as the Ski World Cup, the Bobsleigh World Cup - 2-crew and 4-crew – as well as the European Cup Snowboardcross it is now bidding for the 2017 World Cup ski championships. Offering a wonderful second home venue, it comes with few crowds or queues, marvellous nursery slopes and long runs

One of the most coveted and elegant resorts in the world its excellent lift network of 34 lifts services 62 piste (10 black, 23 red, 28 blue and 1 green) covering a total of 120km of skiing to an altitude of 2930m. With excellent snow making facilities and over 150 ski teachers specialised in working with school children, the season runs from end of November until late April. With sunshine 8 out of 10 days, the ski area of Cortina comprises 3 mountain ranges Tofano, Cristallo and Pomedes, connected by free ski bus. Part of the Dolomiti Superski one of the most important circuits in the world, Cortina is also the perfect family home location to experience this wonderful domain. The local Cortina Snowpark located on the San Zan piste is entirely dedicated to snowboarders and freestyle skiers while there is plenty of off piste skiing and freeriding to be had.

In addition to piste skiing, Cortina is proud to offer its second home owners Snow Kiting the latest adrenaline filled activity on skis or snowboard, K Track snow bikes capable of tackling the slopes, rally covered driving on ice covered roads, ice climbing, ice trekking, and 75km of groomed cross country tracks to name a few. For those not looking to ski there is so much more to do in Cortina. With 278 shops to choose from that include designer boutiques, luxury jewellery and watch shops, art galleries and antique shops there is something for everyone. The 54 restaurants and pizzerias, 33 bars and café’s, pastry shops, wine bars and pubs, Cortina provides something for all tastes and is a dream for those who love their food. Horse drawn carriages, sleigh rides, horse trekking, swimming pool and skating are also available.

In the summer for those that have a second home here, there are endless activities to enjoy including more than 400km of clearly signposted hiking trails that take in meadows, forests, breath taking high altitude walks as well as those of historic interest and nature walks. The 700km of sign posted mountain bike trails ensure there is fun guaranteed for families, beginners, and experts.

For those who enjoy climbing there are a staggering 850 climbing itineraries with more than 1000 classic and modern climbing routes. The 9 hole golf course provides breathtaking views of the Dolomite peaks while there is also 18 hole mini golf for the whole family. Fishing, horse riding, tennis, swimming in the public swimming pool, cinema, Planetarium, Observatory and sports centre are also available.

A much loved Italian holiday destination providing good rental income opportunities for second home owners, Cortina is easily reached only 162 km from Venice, 432 km from Milan, 692 km from Rome and 165 km from Innsbruck.
