The traditional and beautiful village of Nax, otherwise known as the Balcony of the Sky is situated at 1300m and only 20 minutes drive from the Sion East Motorway Exit. Positioned between the Valley of Anniviers and Valley of Herens, Nax is a true paradise for those in love with nature and excursion.

With its purest ancestral styles and dwellings of wood, the village is almost entirely built on a large plateau in a natural depression giving shelter from the winds and from where, an amazing and unforgettable panorama of rare beauty can be discovered.

 

 

With a North facing position, excellently prepared slopes and good snow quality, the ski slopes of Télé Mont-Noble offer winter sport fans, from beginners to the most experienced the 30 kilometres of ski runs with a breathtaking view over the Rhone and Hérens valleys and the small valley of Réchy has something to suit everybody.

 

The Ski and Snowboard School located in the village offers lessons for all levels and ages, either in private or groups.

With an outdoor skating rink and sledge/tubing run there’s lots of other things to do once your off the slopes

With a dense network of well signposted footpath’s and mountain bike trails for all levels, there’s lots to do in Nax.

The outdoor swimming pool adapted for children has lawns for sunbathing and relaxing or why not take them on an excursion on a Parapente horse.

There are two open air clay tennis courts with refreshment bar, a football ground and if you fancy an adrenaline rush there’s paragliding and rock climbing to also keep you amused.

Valais has 10 golf courses all around an hours drive of each other and the one at Sion, open all year round is only 15 minutes away.

Getting to Nax couldn’t be easier. Literally 20 minutes from the Sion East Motorway turning and under 2 hours from Geneva. In the Winter, Sion Airport also takes direct flights from the UK, making this a very accessible spot.
