Locally, in the summer Vercorin, has over 80 kilometres of walkways, from the Vallon de Réchy to the Val d’Anniviers and over 40 km of tracks marked for bicycles. With walks alongside ancient water irrigation channels called Bisses, on roads or even the high mountain passes, Vercorin has a countless number of clearly signposted walks adapted to suit every level of walker from families to the more experienced.

Public Transport: By train to Sierre, then by bus Sierre-Vercorin (15 km, 40') or bus Ballestraz Sierre-Chalais (6 km, 15'), then cable car Chalais-Briey-Vercorin (7'). High speed trains(TGV, Pendolino, ICE)

 

By car: A9 motorway, Sierre-Ouest-Chippis exit. Follow signs to Chalais-Vercorin (13 km, 15') From Grône, continue towards Itravers-Vercorin (11 km, 10') From Vissoie and Grimentz, follow Mayoux, Pinsec-Vercorin (9 km, 15')

Vercorin is one of the main villages of the Val D’ Anniviers ski domain that also includes Chandolin, Saint-Luc, Zinal, Vissoie, Sierre, and Grimentz. One ski pass gives you acess to over 220 km of snow covered slopes covering the different resorts.

 

With skiing from 1400 to 3000 m, skiers, snow boarders will find slopes corresponding to all levels of ability. A freeride park at Zinal is available for all snowboarder fans.

Winter

Once a week, should you wish to participate, Vercorin has a sledge run from the top of the Crêt-du-Midi with a fondue in Sigeroulaz:

There are many snowshoeing trails for both beginners and experts, as well as unique events such as cross country ski competition through the narrow street of the village.
